About the ANIMATICUS Studio
The ANIMATICUS Studio has been established by award-winning director/animator/author, Tony White. ANIMATICUS is a studio/academy in the atelier style that seeks to preserve, teach and evolve the art-form of traditional animation in a digital age.
The 2D animation industry is in great danger of losing all the great knowledge and expertise it has gleaned from its 100 year existence. It therefore becomes increasingly more important that this precious artform is preserved and evolved. The award-winning ANIMATICUS Studio team - with experience of over 200 TV commercials, 2 animated TV Specials and numerous Short Films - believes that if 2D animation is to survive it has to do so through education and high level production. The ANIMATICUS Studio therefore seeks to raise 2D animation's bar, while enabling young animators of the future to gain real experience by apprenticing with master professionals.
